Our client, a manufacturer and lead distributor of industrial equipment components, is looking for their next Account Manager to focus on service & repair. In this seat, you’ll blend your technical background and knowledge of hydraulics with a natural knack for sales to maintain current client relationships and develop new business channels. This is an exciting opportunity for you to flex your product application knowledge by connecting with customers, from factories to dealerships, to expand the company footprint while taking a hands-on, nurturing approach to solving customer problems.
Your Mission:
- Identify market need and growth opportunities to develop a prospecting plan to expand business within your territory
- Manage and nurture existing business relationships
- Take a consultative approach to selling products, service, and parts
- Work cross functionally with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met
- Maintain accurate book of business to include contacts, notes and sales data
- Conduct proper follow-ups on sales activities (quotes, orders, deliveries, and returns)
- Provide timely market data and reports to management
- Attend tradeshows and training events as needed
A Few Qualifications
- 1+ years relevant sales experience
- Proven problem solving ability with a strong technical aptitude
- Working knowledge of hydraulic systems
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong customer service skills with a natural, helpful demeanor
- Go-getter attitude, with great relationship building skills
- Motivated with a drive for continuous self-education
