We are looking for a “home-grown” farming sales specialist to join a global agricultural OEM as their Territory Sales Manager for the Dakotas and Minnesota. This person will spend 90% of their time maintaining current dealer relationships and 10% of their time dealer prospecting. In addition, this person will be assisting in marketing initiatives with the dealers, including trade shows, field days,etc.
Your Mission:
- Maintain and expand sales within your territory
- Develop and execute a dealer distribution plan for maximum success
- Review quarterly business plans with existing dealers
- Maintain training of the sales and service teams of dealerships
- Coach under performing dealers to bring about greater success
- Provide training & support to sales and service teams to adequately maintain machines
- Work with marketing to develop trade show plans, marketing events, etc for each of the dealerships
- Partner with retail sales reps for end user visits
- Relay product issues from customers and dealers to upper level management
Your Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of Agricultural equipment
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excels with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc).
- Strong knowledge of the distribution system
- Go-getter attitude, with great relationship building skills
- Management skills preferred
- Travel up to 80%
