Our client, a well-known and highly respected heavy equipment manufacturer is currently seeking a customer-facing Commissioning Technician. In this role, you’ll ensure customers are familiar with mobile cranes through detailed orientation and interactive demonstrations. Leveraging a deep technical understanding of the equipment and superior communication ability, you’ll design, develop, and present machinery orientation sessions to the customer’s designated equipment operators.
Your Mission
- Provide operators with comprehensive instruction, orientation, and demonstration for mobile cranes during the machine commissioning process
- Work with customers and service teams to ensure equipment is installed and commissioned properly, meets specifications, and performs as intended
- Provide on-site technical support during start-up, commissioning, and operation of equipment
- Design, create, and conduct equipment orientation sessions for customers and internal teams as required
- Perform troubleshooting, fault-finding, and testing on equipment as needed
- Repair electrical, hydraulic, diesel and mechanical issues
- Submit timely and accurate paperwork including service documents, billing hours, and reports
A Few Qualifiers
- 3+ years relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience operating and repairing mobile cranes
- Proven communication ability while interacting with all levels of an organization
- Detail-oriented with great organizational skills
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Microsoft Word) skills required
- Motivated team player
