Our client, a well-established dealer, is looking for a leader in finance to be their next Controller. You’ll take the reins and drive a wide variety of financial initiatives and programs for their network of dealerships. This is an opportunity for you to lead a finance team while providing strategic and tactical guidance to senior management and department budget holders as they collectively strive for significant revenue growth.
Your Mission:
- As a member of the leadership team, champion the day-to-day accounting processes
- Lead by example and create a customer centric and highly engaged finance team
- Monitor dealership financial performance and execute EOY audit process
- Prepare, issue and analyze the organization’s fiscal statements and reports
- Compile and analyze weekly, monthly, quarterly financial statements, making recommendations for areas of growth
- Work closely with department leaders to adhere to budgets, advise them on appropriate financial decisions or risks, reallocation of budgets and cost savings options
- Develop robust standard operating procedures using problem solving and other continuous improvement tools
- Proactively identify future risks and opportunities for the company to decrease expenses and/or increase revenue while improving the organization’s capabilities and performance
- Ensure that the company adheres to legal compliance requirements, including submitting reports and tax forms in a timely manner, cooperating with IRS audits, etc.
- Oversee general financial & HR duties, including payroll
A Few Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a financial discipline, Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Strong presentation skills
- Familiar with US GAAP
- Strong understanding & knowledge of financial concepts, principles and systems
- CPA, CMA and/or CFA certifications are highly desirable
- Superior communication skills, both written & verbal
- Highly organized, detail oriented and analytical
