A global construction equipment manufacturer has an exciting opportunity opening for a Director of Key Accounts. In this seat, your primary focus is on a manufacturer’s direct supply agreement relationship across multiple product segments. You’ll leverage over a decade of industry experience and intimate knowledge of the entire sales cycle to oversee and manage our client’s largest key customers. 

Your Mission

  • Establish, oversee and nurture relationships with key decision makers to drive revenue
  • Provide overall business support for key accounts
  • Analyze and understand current customers, market and equipment sales opportunities
  • Coordinate efforts with key accounts to ensure a strong working relationship, and facilitate the development of business plans to drive revenue
  • Analyze and develop business plans by determining the current value, future potential and priority of key accounts with reference to sales and profit, market influence and impact
  • Provide cost-benefit analyses to substantiate decisions in product placement/selection
  • Provide comprehensive data/reporting on all key accounts
  • Manage schedule, striving to consistently meet and exceed sales targets
  • Develop and champion plan to expand and grow key account base in North America
  • Remain active within the industry and attend regional & national trade shows

A Few Qualifications:

  • Highly driven and self-motivated attitude
  • Well rounded business experience with proven success
  • Strong strategic management skills
  • 10-15 years relevant experience
  • Experience with construction equipment or similar machinery
  • Superior relationship building skills with internal and external customers
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to travel up to 80%
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Suite and SalesForce (preferred)
