Our client, a global construction OEM, is looking for a creative mind that excels at tactical execution to be their next Director of Product Management. In this seat, you’ll champion the product management and marketing teams while supplying the internal & external sales force with the product knowledge tools they need to exceed company sales & market share goals. You’ll also leave your mark on the industry by developing product strategies that set the company apart at trade shows while providing calculated leadership that gives the company a competitive edge to maximize the profitability of the entire portfolio.

Your Mission: 

  • Lead and direct the product management & marketing teams including hiring & developing staff, setting & monitoring KPIs and performance reviews
  • Serve as Chairperson of the Product Steering Committee
  • Champion the planning, development and implementation of all activity surrounding marketing
  • Develop and manage marketing budget
  • Create and harmonize a product line strategy for trade shows & events
  • Act as key decision maker during trade show set up, design and theme creation
  • Work cross functionally with internal and global teams to develop and monitor innovative and strategic branding plans for several product lines
  • Develop and seek to continually improve upon promotional programs and materials used at the national, regional and local levels 
  • Utilizing analysis & research data, develop product specifications, pricing & promotional proposals with the goal of improving competitive price positioning
  • Create and manage product training programs including the development of policies, procedures & training materials, scheduling, staffing and training facility management
  • Create and harmonize a product line strategy for trade shows & events
  • Champion market launch plans for the entire product line
  • Utilize strategic planning processes to ensure tactical execution and alignment with business leaders and stakeholders
  • Effectively and efficiently work with third party vendors

A Few Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years related experience in sales, product management, marketing, or dealer development within heavy equipment industry
  • Skilled at strategic development, tactical execution and process mapping
  • Agency management & interaction expertise with direction, strategy and execution
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Excellent presentation, high-level communication and training skills
