A well-known construction equipment manufacturer is looking for an enthusiastic, analytical mind with a passion for supply chain organization, to be their next Distribution Manager. In this seat, you’ll take charge of multiple distribution centers by developing and implementing best practices around shipping, receiving, and logistics. Utilizing your strong and polished ability to communicate, you’ll set inventory levels and forecast need while working cross-functionally with company locations to smoothly and efficiently move inventory.
Your Mission:
- Oversee shipping, receiving, and logistics of distribution centers
- Develop and implement distribution center best practices including sourcing and procurement
- Troubleshoot issues within the distribution centers while establishing a departmental structure that maximizes efficiency
- Identify areas for improvement and champion supply chain advancement initiatives and projects including new software implementation
- Compile weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual budget reports for upper management
- Understand market variations and provide inventory forecast adjustments as necessary
- Work cross-functionally with company leadership team to incorporate new, changing, and discontinued products into the supply chain plan
- Generate and continually update price databases
- Establish and analyze monthly cash flow and cost savings while implementing measures to reduce material costs and inventory
- Monitor production changes surrounding design, materials, methods, and services to calculate impact on cost
- Keep accurate records and provide reliable data for internal decision-makers
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
- 4+ years relevant experience
- Proven cross-functional experience analyzing internal systems while implementing specialized software solutions
- Experience with WMS and ERP systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead and build teams
- Certifications from ISM or APICS preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
