Our client, a robust and well-established financial institution, is looking for an Operating Partner. This executive leadership role will have you hyper-focused on the heavy equipment industry, directing company expansion efforts in that space. Your success will not only be measured through the identification of high quality investment opportunities, but also your ability to lead, plan, and forecast through team development and the creation of multi-year business models.
Your Mission:
- Utilizing comprehensive industry research and extensive market knowledge, formulate an industry specific, company expansion & investment model targeting end markets, manufacturers, regions and operators
- Identify high quality investment opportunities while clearly outlining ROI
- Champion revenue forecasting and expense management
- Develop & nurture relationships with key stakeholders in manufacturing, distribution, and service
- On behalf of the company, engage in active discussions with external decision makers to forge deep relationships
- Monitor expansion initiatives within current portfolio investments
- Ensuring accuracy, aid investment team in the underwriting process
- Work cross functionally to fortify strategic direction and the growth initiatives utilized to meet company goals
- As an active, innovative problem solver, develop solutions aimed at expanding revenue and profitability
- Ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations and requirements
Job Qualifications:
- MBA Preferred
- 20+ years of progressive experience in leadership roles in heavy machinery
- Proven managerial and financial leadership experience
- Builders mentality with extensive knowledge of operations including resource & demand planning, corporate strategy and forecasting
- Strong negotiation skills with a thorough understanding of mergers & acquisitions
- Superior presentation and communication skills
- Highly organized, detail oriented and analytical
