Our client, a strong & established equipment dealer in Colorado, is looking for a Parts Manager to join their team! You’ll leverage your expert knowledge of parts management to champion everything in the department, from team building & management to sales growth & maintenance of inventory. Another critical aspect of the role is that you’ll be on the front lines of communication, ensuring customers’ order expectations are met.
Your Mission:
- Direct the parts business to include sales, turns, margins, and fill rate while ensuring budgets and goals are met
- Champion and mold the parts team with a hyper-focus on customer service and an ultimate goal of increased responsiveness. This includes team building, training and setting/monitoring KPIs
- Create and drive processes & procedures that meet or exceed the benchmarks set for key department metrics
- Develop & implement short, mid & long term strategic growth plans while staying within budget and ensuring objectives are met
- Oversee day-to-day parts operations from ordering and receipt to fulfillment and invoicing
- Take ownership of the parts display room & storage area, ensuring organization and cleanliness
- Take regular inventory to ensure accurate internal data
- While managing the parts team, establish an inclusive culture within the department while providing continuous feedback and guidance
- Continually strive for perfection and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Manage, research, identify and implement new suppliers as needed
Job Qualifications:
- 2+ years proven experience as a Parts Manager, or related position
- 5+ years of relevant parts experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong business acumen with the ability to motivate a team
- Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management with the ability to optimize inventory through data analytics
