Our client is looking for an experienced product manager to further develop and perfect their line of excavators for the North American market. Their product managers handle everything from collecting market feedback to prototype testing with engineers to product training with the OEM’s field sales teams.

Your Mission

  • Deeply research and understand the North American excavator market
  • Stay abreast of market patterns and changes, and forecast future opportunities
  • Propose suggestions to senior leadership to add to, remove from and/or make adjustments to the current excavator product line
  • Leverage data, face-to-face time with dealers and customers and background expertise to make educated decisions
  • Act as a project manager through the product design and development processes, working very closely with engineers and manufacturing teams
  • Assist marketing personnel with the development of technical documentation and marketing content
  • Train sales and product support teams as new products are approaching release dates
  • Seek to continuously improve products, processes and procedures
  • Regularly report on project progress to senior leadership
  • Attend industry tradeshows and frequently visit dealerships across North America

A Few Qualifiers

Our client’s ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or marketing or similar discipline
  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • High expertise with excavator products
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
