Our client, a global construction OEM, is looking for a visionary to develop the product roadmap for their road construction equipment in the North American market. Their product managers handle everything from collecting & analyzing market data to prototype testing with engineers to product training down to the dealer level.
Your Mission:
- Deeply research and understand the North American road construction equipment market
- Stay abreast of market patterns and changes, and forecast future opportunities
- Propose suggestions to senior leadership to add to, remove from and/or make adjustments to the current road construction machinery product line
- As a leader in the product steering committee you will leverage market data, face-to-face time with dealers and customers and your background expertise to make educated product related decisions
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing and global marketing teams to meet customer expectations and revenue goals
- As an expert in the competition you will lead the development of technical documentation and marketing content
- Champion the development & distribution of training programs
- Seek to continuously improve products, processes and procedures
- Regularly report on project progress to senior leadership
- Drive product strategy and coordination for trade shows and events
A Few Qualifiers:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing or similar discipline
- 10 years of related experience in Product Management or Product Marketing
- Experience with construction machinery preferred
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
