Our client, a global construction OEM, is looking for the perfect blend of personality and technical know-how to develop and drive the product roadmap for wheel loaders across the North American market. This is an exciting opportunity for you to take the reins, handling everything from collecting market feedback to prototype testing with engineers to product training and support.
Your Mission
- Deeply research and understand the North American wheel loader market
- Stay abreast of market patterns and changes, and forecast future opportunities
- Propose suggestions to senior leadership to add to, remove from and/or make adjustments to the current product line
- Utilize data, frequent face-to-face time with dealers and customers, and your wheel loader expertise to make calculated product development & functionality decisions
- Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to meet customer expectations and revenue goals
- Analyze financial data while working cross functionally with global teams to negotiate and set product pricing
- As an expert in the competition, assist marketing personnel with the development of technical documentation and marketing content
- Train sales and product support teams as new products are approaching release dates
- Perform regular dealer visits obtaining vital VOC data while providing additional product support & training as needed
- Seek to continuously improve products, processes, and procedures
- Regularly report on project progress to senior leadership
- Attend industry trade shows and periodically visit dealers and customers across the country
A Few Qualifiers
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing or similar discipline
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- High level of technical expertise and mechanical aptitude with wheel loaders
- Strong business acumen
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
