Our client, a global equipment manufacturer, is looking for a technically minded strategist to create a product and marketing roadmap for their portfolio of forklifts. In this seat, you’ll develop and execute product-specific marketing strategies, define positioning, craft messaging, and assist in the sales process. You’ll also have the opportunity to flex your deep understanding of the market and the product while coordinating all aspects of product launch. Your success will be measured by your ability to empower all sales channels for success, enhancing the experience for dealers, key accounts, and end-users.
Your Mission
- Deeply research and understand the North American material handling market
- Fully create and outline the product strategy including target markets, business cases, value propositions, and all necessary requirement documents
- Stay abreast of market patterns and changes, and forecast future opportunities
- Champion efforts to obtain VOC through multiple channels
- Leverage data, face-to-face time with dealers and customers, and background expertise to make educated decisions
- Champion the development of technical documentation and marketing content
- Support training for internal and external teams
- Utilize product expertise to best assist product management & support
- Serve as spokesperson at various events including tradeshows, seminars, and group meetings
- Propose suggestions to senior leadership to add to, remove from and/or make adjustments to the current product line
- Attend industry tradeshows and frequently visit dealerships across North America
- Travel up to 30%
A Few Qualifiers
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or similar discipline
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience with material handling equipment
- Demonstrated project management and product launch experience
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
