Our client, a respected manufacturer of specialty equipment, is looking for a mechanically gifted communicator who enjoys problem solving and has a side of salesmanship, to be a Product Specialist focusing on connectivity. In this seat, you’ll support sales and promote machine technology & fleet management solutions to new and existing customers in the United States. You’ll also have the chance to flex your technical wizardry through your involvement in installations, calibration training, and servicing of telematics products in the Northeast.
Your Mission:
- Contribute to the development of the strategic plan for fleet management and machine technology, offering valuable insights and recommendations
- Install hardware for fleet management and machine technology, ensuring proper setup and functionality
- Take the lead in providing customer training, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to effectively utilize telematics and connected services features
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues or malfunctions
- Ensure accuracy and completion of work orders for assigned jobs, including the documentation of warranty claims and other necessary paperwork
- Collaborate with product support, engineering, and factory teams by providing relevant information and insights
- Cultivate and maintain positive and productive relationships with customers
- Handle technical service calls from customers regarding appropriate technology, addressing their concerns and providing sensible solutions
- Stay updated on market trends and conduct periodic analysis
- Conduct customer satisfaction surveys
- Champion customer partnership team activity, working to identify and address customer issues such as product quality or technical challenges
- Actively participate in industry conferences and exhibitions, representing the company and staying informed about the latest advancements and trends in the field
Job Qualifications:
- Technical degree preferred
- 3+ years relevant experience
- Strong understanding of heavy equipment with a high mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of telematics and machine connectivity preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail
- Valid license and passport
- Overnight travel up to 50%
