Our client, a global construction equipment manufacturer, is seeking a Product Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support for its equipment portfolio and dealer network. From the comfort of your desk chair, you will take the lead on challenging equipment issues, helping determine what went wrong, how to correct it, and what can be done to prevent similar problems in the field.

Your hands-on knowledge of construction equipment will be important in this role. You understand how mechanical and technical systems work together, how to approach difficult troubleshooting situations, and how to turn what you learn in the field into practical support for dealers, customers, and internal teams. You will work across service, engineering, parts, and other functions to improve equipment support throughout the product lifecycle.

Your Mission

  • Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and provide clear technical direction to dealers and customers.
  • Investigate field problems to identify underlying causes and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Partner with engineering and other technical teams when issues require deeper product analysis.
  • Recognize recurring equipment concerns and help develop corrective actions that improve product performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical input on repair decisions, product concerns, and equipment support needs.
  • Develop technical information and resources that help service teams diagnose and repair equipment more effectively.
  • Support technical training for dealer personnel and other equipment users.
  • Build strong relationships with dealer service teams, customers, and internal product support functions.
  • Document technical findings and communicate important field information across the organization.
  • Travel as needed to provide hands-on technical support and better understand equipment performance in real-world applications.

A Few Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical experience with construction or heavy equipment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Associate degree or equivalent technical experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical priorities independently.
  • Willingness to travel and occasionally provide support outside normal business hours.
