A global construction OEM is looking for a technically minded aftersales champion with a sense of urgency and a knack for problem solving to be their next Product Support Manager covering the Western US. You’ll have the opportunity to resolve technical issues while expanding the company aftersales footprint to ensure dealers have what they need to succeed. This includes everything from parts stocking & warranty compliance to ensuring technicians reach training and certification goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide and coordinate technical support to dealers and ensure they have adequate resources to properly repair machinery and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Forecast and maintain inventory based on parts & service demands
  • Champion and manage on-site technical training to ensure dealers are properly trained to repair and troubleshoot machinery 
  • Set up and implement product improvement initiatives within dealer network
  • Oversee equipment warranty through training dealers on company procedures, conducting compliance audits, and reviewing warranty claims 
  • Promote the use of OEM service parts and provide parts-related assistance while achieving service & parts sales objectives
  • Oversee the completion of OEM generated field campaigns within the dealer network
  • Work cross functionally with distribution to develop yearly aftersales business plans and encourage distributor participation in promotional events
  • Manage and ensure dealer completion of aftersales certification programs 
  • Maintain accurate training records to provide to upper management as needed
  • Regularly travel to dealers and distributors to build strong working relationships
  • Actively participate in on-boarding new dealers
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs as needed

A Few Qualifiers:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years experience repairing or servicing heavy machinery
  • Technical experience related to road machinery 
  • Basic knowledge of the distribution process
  • Willing to travel frequently to dealer sites
  • Travel up to 80%
