Are you a rising star in sales & marketing with a high emotional intelligence? Our client is looking for a progressive, dynamic  leader to be their next Sales Engineer for their Material Handler portfolio in the North American market. You will work closely with the Director of Product Management and have direct influence on everything from collecting market feedback to prototype testing with engineers to product training with the OEM’s field sales teams.

Your Mission

  • Deeply research and understand the North American material handler market to develop the product road map
  • Stay abreast of market patterns and changes, and forecast future opportunities
  • Work cross functionally with marketing to conduct in-depth product & market research to identify growth potential and obtain voice of customer
  • Analyze research to build business cases, support development changes and help influence areas of short term & long-range product improvement
  • Support product development and dealer teams to ensure company goals and market needs are met
  • Forecast and maintain a budget and pricing structure that meets revenue goals
  • Develop marketing plans, product specifications, and product features for business plans
  • Champion product training to best support sales teams and marketing specialists
  • As a product expert and sales leader, relay vital product information to customers and perform onsite demos
  • Effectively share data & pertinent information with the sales, marketing, warranty, engineering, and manufacturing departments
  • Seek to continuously improve products, processes and procedures
  • Regularly report on project progress to senior leadership
  • Attend & actively participate in industry trade shows and events

A Few Qualifiers

Our client’s ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or engineering
  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • A root cause approach to analysis & problem solving
  • High level of expertise with material handlers and B2B sales required
  • Strong business acumen with a firm understanding of financials & pricing
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • 50-75% travel, some international travel required
