A well known construction OEM is searching for a senior design engineer to join their team, providing technical leadership through product launch and improvements. They’re looking for a strong communicator and proven innovator who can design and develop the next series of earthmoving equipment.
Your Mission
- As a technical leader, ensure the alignment of internal and global engineering teams throughout the entire product life cycle of earthmoving equipment in the North America market
- Manage improvement and enhancement projects – specifically component design & integration
- Set short and long-term team objectives to ensure time, budget and customer expectations are met
- Utilize voice of customer data and cross-functional communication to drive product development & improvement
- Review safety standards and ensure compliance with government regulations
A Few Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of hands-on design experience in heavy machinery with at least 3-5 years in earthmoving equipment
- Strong and complete project management experience including meeting budget and timelines
- Excellent cross-functional communication, analytical and teamwork skills
- Utilize Root Cause/Countermeasure method to problem solving
- Strong knowledge of phase-gate process
