A global construction machinery OEM is looking to add an experienced supply chain leader to their team as their next Senior Supplier Development Manager. In this seat, you’ll collaborate with procurement, operations and quality control to source the highest quality of products into the factory. Leveraging your unique problem solving ability, you’ll leave your mark on the company by developing quality control plans that enhance standards and grow relationships with suppliers.
Your Mission:
- Perform supplier site visits while leading the effort to identify process issues and implement improvement plans
- Locate & evaluate suppliers based on quality, technology, service, etc.
- Work cross functionally with internal & external stakeholders to create development plans aimed at supplier delivery, process capability, quality and capacity
- Champion supplier PIPs while closely collaborating with internal & external teams on solutions and plan closure
- Utilize gap analysis to proactively minimize supply issues
- Lead exceptional supplier support by ensuring proper resources are in place including technical support, equipment and training materials
- Manage and coordinate the entire scope of quality and process improvements of material packaging and transportation
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Engineering or related field
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred
- 10+ years relevant supply chain experience with proven change management
- Proven change management experience
- Demonstrated ability to create and improve upon supplier programs & communication processes
- Process & results driven with strong knowledge of six sigma and lean manufacturing
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
- Detail oriented
- Travel, some international, over 50%
