Our client, a strong and well-established equipment dealership, is looking for their next Service Manager. In this seat, you’ll take the reins of the daily operations of the service department while providing superior aftersales support, training technicians, ensuring a properly stocked parts room, and implementing processes and procedures that drive business, maximize service efficiency, and minimize equipment downtime. Your Mission:

  • Champion the day-to-day operations of the service department 
  • Set KPIs for all members of the service team and ensure technicians are up to date on required trainings
  • Assist in the creation of department budget and goals
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and implement marketing plans while monitoring progress
  • Create strong, repeatable, consistent department processes that ensure quality service and minimize downtime
  • Review work orders, submit warranty claims, review VOC while identifying appropriate solutions
  • Work cross-functionally across the dealership to ensure timely and satisfactory  closure of customer issues
  • Mentor and coach service team to maintain best practices and exceed customer expectations
  • Ensure customer receives timely, clear, and concise communication from service personnel, including appropriate bulletins
  • Maintain accurate supply inventory while ensuring enough stock is available to support uninterrupted shop operation
  • Monitor sales & productivity data in order to gauge profits and generate forecasts
  • Notify suppliers of quality or failure frequency
  • Keep detailed reports regarding equipment failure trends for management review
  • Relay customer feedback to internal teams
  • Administer programs surrounding safety & loss prevention while ensuring team compliance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Required experience in Parts & Service
  • At least three years of management experience
  • Essential technical knowledge in construction or related equipment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) is mandatory
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
