A well-known & respected family owned dealership is looking for a hands-on, knowledgeable service guru to manage the daily operations of the service shop. You’ll have the opportunity to bring your style of motivational leadership and organization to the shop floor to champion a team of technicians. In this seat, you’ll ensure they have what they need to reduce turnaround time, increase efficiency and enhance the customer experience.

Your Mission:

  • Manage daily operations of service technicians and yard staff including assigning maintenance and repair orders based on technician skill-set and customer need
  • Lead the training and development of service technicians
  • Assist technicians with repairs and provide customer technical support as needed
  • Champion safety programs while ensuring compliance with OSHA & EPA requirements
  • Recommend changes to the training curriculum including scheduling
  • Continually strive for operational excellence while looking for ways to increase efficiency, reduce turnaround time and curb rework
  • Ensure all equipment repairs meet or exceed company quality standards and address original customer issue
  • Review repair order process to verify technician efficiency, productivity and administrative accuracy
  • Oversee warranty work, making sure its completed on time and follows OEM guidelines
  • Establish and nurture relationships with OEMs and internal parts teams to ensure organization of parts records and to facilitate & organize billable services and repairs 
  • Recommend purchasing or upgrading service tools & equipment 
  • Adhere to OEM recommendations and complete modification programs
  • Provide estimates, forecasts and other tasks that enhance the customer experience

A Few Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated technical background in construction or relevant equipment necessary
  • Proven ability to lead and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Detail oriented with great organizational skills
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Microsoft Word) skills required
