Our client, a global construction OEM, is looking for an innovative communicator with high level technical expertise to be their Training Specialist, focusing on construction equipment. If your passion for heavy machinery repair has taken you to a place where you’d prefer to teach rather than turn wrenches, this is an exciting opportunity for you. This is a position where you’ll be encouraged to think outside the typical technological box, as you create and lead technically focused training programs.
Your Mission:
- Work cross-functionally to create, implement, maintain, and deliver innovative technical training programs (digital & in-person) focused on construction equipment
- Utilizing your high level of technical expertise, act as a subject matter expert for various technical support & training initiatives
- Provide training plans, documents and materials focused on technical solutions that assist with new product introduction
- As a forward thinker, monitor & analyze data to continuously improve outside the box training programs aimed at educating technicians in new ways
- Maintain accurate training records
- Attend industry tradeshows
- Travel up to 30%
A Few Qualifications:
- 3+ years relevant experience repairing heavy equipment
- Demonstrated high-level technical knowledge of electric and hydraulic systems
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to teach
- Ability to utilize new technologies to create and administer adult training curriculum
- Demonstrated Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.) skills
