Our client, an integrated business solutions firm in the heavy equipment industry, is seeking a proven and motivational leader to be their next Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, you will oversee and manage all strategic, long-term, and daily financial responsibilities, including compliance, asset management, reporting and planning, IT, and process improvement. You will have the unique opportunity to shape the financial direction of the company and its expanding portfolio, leaving a lasting impact on both the company and the industry.

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to elevate portfolio companies from inception to market leadership. Leveraging a strong background in holding company structures, you will collaborate cross-functionally with the CEO and leadership team to drive financial and operational decisions that foster continuous growth and success.

Your Mission: 

  • Oversee the finance team and its related entities, ensuring effective management of all finance personnel
  • Direct all accounting and financial operations for the company and its subsidiaries
  • Supervise the deployment and enhancement of financial systems, procedures, tools, and controls
  • Audit all end-of-month closing activities
  • Establish yearly financial objectives while managing the budgeting process
  • Analyze and report on the financial health of the company and its subsidiary businesses
  • Offer strategic advice on short-term and long-term growth opportunities
  • Work cross-functionally with senior leadership to develop and enforce policies, procedures, and processes
  • Manage the preparation and timely submission of all local, state, and federal tax filings
  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors and lead the financial audit process
  • Foster banking relationships and establish strategic partnerships with vendors and business associates

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required
  • Master’s in Finance, Accounting or Business Management or related field preferred
  • 8+ years relevant accounting experience
  • 4+ years experience in finance leadership with the motivational ability to guide teams through process & culture change
  • Proven history with start-ups, executing mergers and acquisitions, and maintaining strong investor relations
  • Excellent attention to detail & project management skills
  • Strong communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft programs, including Excel
