A well-known construction OEM is searching for a creative analytical mind to join their engineering team. As a mechanical engineer, you’ll utilize a strong background in project management to design the next generation of road machinery while also assisting with new product introduction and making improvements to the existing line. Furthermore, you’ll run tests to ensure product safety and quality standards are met while making cost-effective, budget-friendly changes.
Your Mission
- Utilize CAD, 3-D Solid Modeling, Drawings, layouts, and GDT to create and maintain product designs
- Design multiple systems to be used in road machinery including hydraulics, power train, and cooling
- Take full project management responsibilities of assigned projects, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned while monitoring timelines and addressing any risks or issues that arise
- Implement design changes that improve product reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness
- Perform tests and analyze results to ensure product specifications are met
- Provide technical support for multiple internal & external teams during the entire product lifecycle
- Analyze multiple data sets in order to make design and manufacturing recommendations
A Few Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering degree
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Strong and complete project management experience including meeting budget and timelines
- Proficient in handling business management systems, including SAP
- Skilled in using NX for computer-aided design and experienced in managing product lifecycles
- Knowledge of 3D/2D design systems
- Understanding of hydraulics, ergonomics, weldments, power train, and hydrostatics
- Excellent communication, analytical, and teamwork skills
- Utilize Root Cause/Countermeasure method to problem solving
