A global construction OEM is looking for an organized technical mind with a passion for customer service and product improvement to be their next Project Manager focused on off-highway support. In this seat, you’ll seamlessly blend your technical expertise with project management finesse to launch projects and field trials while assisting customers, suppliers, and aftersales teams with technical issues. Your success in this role will be determined by your ability to create comprehensive project plans. These plans should not only provide essential information for effective product support and improvement but also contribute to reducing downtime and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Your Mission:
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop and assign projects and field trials
- Leverage technical knowledge to provide firsthand troubleshooting assistance to customers, suppliers, and aftersales teams
- Develop comprehensive project plans that utilize timelines, resource planning, and procedures to achieve project goals
- Act as a liaison with external teams to ensure project success
- Provide pertinent information to management for the support and guidance of projects
- Manage and oversee the tasks of factory personnel to guarantee the timely advancement of assigned projects
- Regularly review project status and communicate necessary adjustments to schedules or plans
- Consistently prepare and present project status reports to the factory management team
- Champion field test agreements or prototypes, ensuring accurate information is provided
- Conduct timely inspections and report findings to the factory as specified in the agreements
- Have an active hand in assembly projects, assisting or leading as necessary
- Identify and promptly resolve issues, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on time
- Collect and analyze accurate, relevant data
- Develop alternative solutions, both individually and in group problem-solving situations
Qualifications:
- Technical degree or relevant training/experience required
- Technically inclined with strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic & emission systems
- Proven project management experience
- Strong ability to stay focused and composed while in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with great organizational skills
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Microsoft Word) skills required
