Our client, a well-established North American manufacturer of building products, is looking for an experienced and driven Director of Quality Control to take ownership of their quality programs and initiatives. This role is a key leadership opportunity to design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive quality management system that ensures every stage of the production process—from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished products—meets the highest standards of excellence. Your Mission:
- Evaluate strategic production operations to ensure product quality, integrity, functionality, and compliance with organizational standards
- Drive comprehensive quality improvements utilizing data analytics
- Collaborate closely with senior management and production teams to define and uphold rigorous quality standards
- Develop, implement, and oversee effective quality testing and evaluation processes
- Facilitate proactive communication among production divisions, management, and customers
- Assess quality test results, authorize recommended modifications, and document outcomes clearly and effectively
- Create and maintain essential quality control documentation, including checklists, logs, and reports
- Establish and lead audit processes spanning from incoming materials through final product delivery
- Define operational standards aligned with customer expectations and provide necessary training to internal teams
- Design effective measurement tools to quickly determine product acceptance during production
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding known quality issues and implemented corrective actions
- Regularly report quality control statuses to senior leadership and regulatory authorities as required
A Few Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
- 5-8 years of senior-level experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience leading quality and continuous improvement teams
- Thorough understanding of quality control standards, methodologies, and manufacturing processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including ability to train staff
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
