Our client, a global leader in heavy equipment manufacturing, is seeking a visionary Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy and performance across its North American operations. This is a key executive role for a finance leader who excels at turning complexity into clarity and aligning financial systems with broader business objectives. Partnering with the President and senior leadership, you’ll drive strategic planning, strengthen operational decision-making, and build the financial foundation needed to support continued growth and innovation in a competitive, capital-intensive industry.

Your Mission: 

  • Shape and execute the financial strategy for North American operations, aligning financial discipline with long-term business goals
  • Provide timely, data-informed analysis to support forecasting, budgeting, and executive-level decisions
  • Lead Finance, Credit, and IT departments with a focus on accountability, clarity, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Oversee internal controls, auditing procedures, insurance coverage, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Strengthen forecasting capabilities by streamlining reporting and presenting actionable market insights
  • Guide strategic initiatives including M&A, restructuring, and major capital investments
  • Influence decisions around inventory, headcount planning, collections, and credit risk
  • Represent the company in financial matters with banks, insurers, and third-party partners
  • Ensure full legal and regulatory compliance at the federal, state, and local level
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing financial team with a focus on ethics and results

A Few Qualifications:

  • Proven financial leadership in a manufacturing or OEM environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA preferred
  • 8+ years in progressive finance roles with oversight of cross-functional teams
  • Strong communicator with a decisive, team-oriented leadership style
  • Skilled in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning
  • Experience managing IT, credit, and compliance within a complex operation
  • Familiarity with capital equipment cycles, supply chain finance, and global operations
