Our client, a well-established and highly respected equipment dealer, is looking for a strategic sales leader to drive performance, lead teams, and shape commercial direction. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will oversee sales operations, build strong customer relationships, develop forward-looking strategies, and ensure the business continues to thrive in a competitive market.

This role calls for a confident and visionary leader who can balance data-driven decision-making with strong interpersonal instincts. Success will require a deep understanding of market dynamics, a passion for developing talent, and the ability to turn insight into action.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team while overseeing territory assignments, inventory planning, and goal setting
  • Build and develop a high-performing sales organization, including recruitment, onboarding, and coaching
  • Analyze sales data to set targets, track progress, and project revenue and profitability
  • Act as a change agent to ensure sales objectives are consistently achieved
  • Identify customer needs and market opportunities to direct commercial efforts
  • Resolve operational challenges, customer escalations, and staffing issues with sound judgment
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and regional managers on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity to support accurate forecasting and positioning
  • Deepen customer relationships and continuously enhance the customer experience
  • Support the sales team on complex deals and high-value client interactions
  • Nurture new leads while strengthening long-term client partnerships
  • Represent the company at key industry events and trade association meetings

A Few Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in heavy equipment or related sectors
  • Proven ability to grow revenue and lead high-performing teams
  • Strong commercial acumen with expertise in P&L management, forecasting, and strategic planning
  • Deep understanding of sales and service operations in a dealership environment
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant CRM or ERP systems
