Our client, a well-known heavy equipment OEM, is searching for an innovative engineer to support the next generation of equipment. As a Design Engineer, you’ll draw on your technical expertise and project management skills to design and improve complex systems while ensuring safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. You’ll work across structural, hydraulic, and electrical systems, while collaborating with production and service teams to keep product lines advancing and competitive.
Your Mission
- Utilize CAD and 3D modeling to create and maintain designs for structural weldments, hydraulic, and water pressure systems
Conduct engineering analysis including structural calculations, drive system performance, component selection, and product validation testing - Manage engineering documentation, drawings, bills of material, and ECO processes with precision and efficiency
- Collaborate with production, vendors, and cross-functional teams to produce cost-effective designs that minimize labor and increase reliability
- Provide technical support to production and service teams, troubleshooting issues, and recommending improvements
- Drive process improvement projects to continually elevate business practices and product performance
- Partner with other departments to deliver timely engineering responses that support company growth
A Few Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical field)
- Minimum 2 years of product or machine design experience with DFMA knowledge
- Strong background in complex system design and detailing
- Ability to perform advanced calculations, verification, and documentation
- Skilled in guiding engineers and reviewing design work
- Understanding of hydraulics, structural weldments, and system integration with electrical components
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Hands-on attitude, able to engage directly in shop and field environments
