Our client, a respected and community-focused retailer, is seeking a Store Manager to lead operations and drive strategic growth. This is more than an operational role. Drawing on your retail leadership expertise, financial acumen, and ability to inspire teams, you will ensure the store thrives in a competitive marketplace while advancing its mission of customer service, sustainability, and community impact.

Your Mission

  • Lead customer and community engagement initiatives to elevate the shopping experience and strengthen loyalty
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance targets to drive sustainable growth
  • Monitor financials, identify underperforming areas, and implement strategies for improvement
  • Partner with HR to recruit, retain, and develop top talent while mentoring future leaders and ensuring accountability
  • Build high-performing teams through coaching, succession planning, and performance management systems
  • Collaborate with Merchandising to shape product strategy, optimize inventory, and drive sales initiatives
  • Oversee compliance with labor, health, safety, and regulatory standards while proactively managing risks
  • Champion organizational values by promoting transparency, inclusivity, and alignment with long term mission and goals
  • Represent the store at community and industry events while serving as a visible leader and role model

A Few Qualifiers

  • 5 to 7 years of progressive retail management experience
  • Proven success leading teams, driving sales, and managing P&L responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Strong background in operations management, budgeting, merchandising, inventory, and margin control
  • Ability to design and execute strategic plans with measurable business outcomes
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills
  • Commitment to employee engagement, workforce development, and collaborative leadership
