May was Mental Health Awareness Month, and we want to keep the conversation going. The construction industry has the second highest suicide rate by industry in our country, with agriculture following closely in fourth place. These vital sectors face unique challenges, including long hours, physical demands, isolation, and financial pressures, which contribute to higher stress and depression rates. We’re deeply passionate about our industry and, more importantly, about the people who work in it. To learn more about available resources and how we can support each other to break the stigma, we reached out to Tony Stevens, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with Northwestern Counseling & Support Services.
