Green Mountain Lion Corporation proudly participated in the 2024 AEM Annual Meeting, held November 13-15 in Indian Wells, California. Kristie Stern, President, and Kate Ziek, Director of Recruiting, joined industry leaders to explore the year’s theme, “The Pulse of the Industry,” focusing on innovation, workforce development, and collaboration in machinery manufacturing.
Keynote speakers addressed challenges like diverse workforce solutions, the future of AI in automation, and global geopolitical trends, all tied to their implications for manufacturing. Discussions highlighted workforce needs, with a keen eye on aftersales as McKinsey shared their study which illustrated that end users are purchasing OEM parts but are not necessarily using the dealer network for service,, emphasizing the importance of proactive recruitment strategies. Insights into supply chain challenges, customer behavior, and infrastructure priorities provided actionable takeaways for the year ahead.
The meeting was also an opportunity to celebrate major achievements. Kristie Stern was elected to the AEM Board of Directors, a recognition of her leadership and influence within the equipment manufacturing industry. This new role allows her to contribute to shaping the industry’s future alongside other prominent leaders. Green Mountain Lion Corporation was also honored to receive the AEM Silver Advocacy Award, acknowledging our dedication to advancing machinery manufacturing through industry advocacy. These accolades reflect not just our commitment to progress but also our position as a trusted partner within the sector.
We extend our heartfelt thanks and congratulations to AEM for organizing such an incredible event. From the thought-provoking sessions to the engaging networking activities, every detail reflected the event’s commitment to excellence and fostering meaningful connections.
