Our client, a respected equipment manufacturer, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its growing accounting team. This opportunity is suited for an experienced accounting professional who can bring strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, and added depth to a business with increasing operational complexity. Your background in corporate accounting, financial oversight, and process coordination will help strengthen the department, support compliance, and improve financial visibility.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day accounting leadership with cross-functional project support. Success will come from a combination of technical accounting ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to work effectively across teams in a multi-location environment. Experience in asset-intensive industries will be especially valuable.

Your Mission

  • Support the accounting team by helping manage core financial activities and strengthening the overall depth of the department
  • Oversee inventory and fixed asset accounting activities, ensuring accurate reporting, reconciliation, and process consistency
  • Assist with audit preparation, documentation, and coordination to support internal and external audit requirements
  • Prepare and organize corporate tax workpapers
  • Provide oversight for HR and payroll-related accounting activities, helping ensure proper recording and reconciliation
  • Help improve accounting workflows, internal controls, and reporting processes as the business continues to grow
  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to support projects, solve problems, and improve financial visibility
  • Contribute to accurate month-end and year-end close activities, with a focus on timeliness and precision
  • Support accounting needs tied to a multi-location operation, with added value for experience across North America

A Few Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with leadership or management level responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and corporate accounting practices
  • Experience with inventory, fixed assets, audit support, tax workpapers, payroll accounting, or lease accounting
  • Experience in equipment rental, manufacturing, or another asset-intensive business would be beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing environment
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and supporting both routine accounting needs and special projects
  • ERP system experience and strong Excel skills
