Our client, an investment management company focused on distribution to end-users, is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead long-term enterprise strategy, drive acquisition and roll-up growth, and unify organizational culture across multiple locations. This high-impact role places you at the helm of a growing platform, responsible for shaping the company’s future through strategic expansion, operational excellence, and cultural cohesion.
As CEO, you will set the vision, align leaders around best practices, and build the roadmap for acquisition growth, integration, and maximizing performance across the portfolio. Your leadership will influence every aspect of the business, from M&A strategy and enterprise governance to people development and organizational identity.
Your Mission:
- Define and execute a long-term acquisition strategy, including identifying targets, conducting market scans, evaluating fit, and determining roll-up sequencing
- Lead all M&A activities, from diligence through integration, ensuring each acquisition strengthens the platform and aligns with strategic goals
- Create and communicate a clear organizational vision, establishing best practices that elevate performance across sales, service, parts, and rental
- Build a unified culture, championing shared values, consistent standards, and cross-company collaboration
- Develop enterprise governance structures that ensure operational consistency, performance visibility, and scalable growth
- Provide high-level mentorship to executive and dealership leadership teams, cultivating future-ready leaders
- Oversee financial performance and strategic budgeting, ensuring the organization meets revenue, margin, and profitability goals
- Partner closely with the board, investors, and senior leaders to align on long-term strategy, organizational transformation, and portfolio expansion
- Monitor enterprise-wide KPIs to assess performance, identify gaps, and guide corrective actions
- Lead change management efforts, ensuring new systems, processes, and integrations are adopted efficiently
- Strengthen OEM and industry relationships, positioning the organization as a preferred partner
- Represent the company at industry conferences and executive events, strengthening visibility and strategic networks
- Champion innovation, including digital modernization, new technology adoption, and forward-thinking operational capabilities
A Few Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, including significant time at the executive level
- Proven success leading multi-location, multi-entity organizations in equipment distribution, heavy equipment, machinery, or related industries
- Extensive M&A experience, including target evaluation, due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition restructuring
- Demonstrated ability to build unified cultures across previously separate or acquired companies
- Strong command of financial modeling, valuation drivers, and investment decision-making
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence at the board, investor, and organizational levels
- Visionary leadership style, capable of setting direction while driving accountability and performance
- Expertise in organizational design, operational standardization, and enterprise transformation
- Deep understanding of dealership best practices across sales, service, parts, rental, and customer experience
- Track record of guiding large-scale companies through growth, consolidation, or restructuring
