Our client, a well-established dealer group, seeks a proven and motivational leader to be their next Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, you will leverage your strong accounting background to lead the financial strategy of a company that has experienced significant growth in recent years, making a substantial organizational impact. Your responsibilities will include overseeing and managing strategic, long-term, and daily financial tasks, such as compliance, asset management, reporting and planning, IT, and process improvement. You will work collaboratively with the CEO and leadership team to drive finance and operations decisions that support the company’s continued upward trajectory.

Your Mission: 

  • Design long-term strategic financial plans for the company, and build significant, company-wide buy-in and collaboration to achieve targets
  • Coordinate and preside over financial management meetings
  • Prepare concise, accurate, and timely reports through interpretation & analysis of operating results & data
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements in accordance with company policies
  • Manage budget preparation, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification for proposed budgets
  • Work to maintain accurate standard cost data for all products and new business opportunities
  • Work with the senior leadership team to provide insights and recommend activities to drive increased profitability, manage cash flow, and recommend opportunities to improve costs and efficiencies
  • Maintain legal compliance with all local, state, and federal laws & regulations
  • Support and manage finance team members
  • Manage and maintain relationships with banks and other lenders
  • Answer accounting and financial questions from all departments and levels
  • Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Manage insurance, tax, and financial audit requirements and lead engagements with all necessary third-party providers

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required
  • Master’s in Finance, Accounting or Business Management or related field preferred
  • 10+ years in advancing finance leadership roles
  • Demonstrated background in accounting
  • Proven leadership skills with the motivational ability to guide teams through process & culture change
  • Excellent attention to detail & project management skills
  • Strong communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft programs, including Excel
