Our client, a well-established dealer group with a growing rental division, is seeking a proven, motivational leader to serve as their next Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, you’ll guide the financial strategy of a company experiencing significant growth across both equipment sales and rentals. This is a high-impact role where you’ll oversee all strategic, long-term, and day-to-day financial responsibilities, including compliance, asset management, reporting, planning, IT, and operational improvements.

You’ll collaborate closely with the CEO and leadership team to drive smart, sustainable decisions that support continued expansion in equipment distribution and rental services.

Your Mission:

  • Build and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with company growth goals across sales, service, and rentals
  • Lead financial management meetings and collaborate across departments to foster informed decision-making
  • Deliver accurate, timely financial reporting with clear analysis of results and key business drivers
  • Oversee monthly financial statement preparation in compliance with company policies
  • Direct the budgeting process and provide well-supported forecasts with detailed justifications
  • Maintain and refine accurate standard cost data for both product sales and rental operations
  • Advise on profitability, cost controls, and efficiency improvements across the business, including rental fleet utilization and investment planning
  • Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal financial and regulatory requirements
  • Mentor and develop the finance team to meet evolving business needs
  • Manage banking relationships, financing arrangements, and capital planning
  • Serve as a strategic resource to departments across the organization on financial and accounting questions
  • Safeguard company assets and data through strong internal controls and confidentiality practices
  • Oversee insurance programs, tax filings, and audit engagements with external partners

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline preferred
  • 10+ years in progressive finance leadership roles
  • Experience supporting or scaling rental or recurring revenue models strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and implementing change
  • Strong project management and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related financial systems
