Are you an accomplished executive with a proven track record in heavy construction machinery and operational leadership? Our client, a global leader in heavy equipment manufacturing, is seeking a visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to spearhead the optimization of the company’s operational landscape. As a critical member of the executive leadership team, this influential role provides the opportunity to shape the company’s short and long-term strategic direction, drive transformative growth initiatives, and cement its position as an industry leader. You will lead efforts to refine operational processes, elevate productivity, and oversee supply chain and quality management to achieve world-class operational performance.

Your Mission:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with the company’s goals, enhancing efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with the executive leadership team to shape the company’s vision, identifying areas for improvement and innovation
  • Oversee the entire supply chain, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management, ensuring cost-effective and seamless operations
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key dealers and suppliers to drive sales and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives to uphold product standards and improve customer experience
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging lean methodologies to drive efficiency and reduce waste
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering accountability and excellence across all departments
  • Drive the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
  • Support sales and marketing efforts by providing technical expertise, participating in trade shows, and enhancing dealer relationships
  • Oversee supplier negotiations, inventory management, and logistics to drive cost efficiencies and mitigate risks
  • Lead and implement quality control systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer expectations
  • Spearhead talent development initiatives, ensuring the operations team remains innovative, collaborative, and results-oriented

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
  • Extensive experience as a senior executive in heavy equipment manufacturing or a related field
  • Proven success in optimizing manufacturing processes and driving operational improvements within large organizations
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on building and motivating high-performing teams
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, and quality control within the heavy machinery sector
