Are you a detail-oriented innovator who’s excited about the future? Our client, a road machinery manufacturer, is looking for an experienced Director of Engineering. In this seat, you’ll provide a vision for a road machinery product line along with technical leadership through launch and improvements. Utilizing your superior communication ability, agile mindset, and a passion for customer service, you’ll champion a group working to design next-generation machinery, collect feedback, and efficiently devise cost-effective solutions.
Your Mission
- Oversee the engineering unit while managing the company vision within the department
- Construct engineering team, coordinate training, and set KPIs
- Establish and implement an innovative R&D strategy for entire product line
- As a technical leader, ensure the alignment of internal engineering teams throughout the entire product life cycle
- Set short and long-term team objectives to ensure time, budget, and customer expectations are met
- Work cross-functionally with the leadership team to produce long-range organizational manufacturing and operational goals
- Utilize voice of customer data and cross-functional communication to drive product development & improvement
- Review safety standards and ensure compliance with government regulations
A Few Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7+ years of hands-on design experience with relevant machinery
- Proven leadership experience
- Strong and complete project management experience including meeting budget and timelines
- Excellent cross-functional communication, analytical and teamwork skills
- Utilize Root Cause/Countermeasure method to problem solving
