Our client, a global equipment manufacturer, is looking for a Director of Operations to be an agent for positive change. Utilizing a strong understanding of lean practices, you will direct multiple teams focused on operational excellence. You’ll take employee well-being and workplace cleanliness seriously as you develop and implement processes & procedures that amplify safety, increase efficiency, and enhance product quality. This exciting leadership opportunity will be vital to the customer experience and the success of the company. 

Your Mission

  • Play a proactive role in the development and execution of strategic operations planning while working closely with internal teams to ensure coordination and alignment
  • Directly manage and provide oversight to operations leadership
  • Assist with day-to-day site operations & management including scheduling, workflow, and special assignments
  • Cultivate a culture of safety while establishing and enforcing operational procedures & guidelines that align with company goals and ensure facilities’ cleanliness & upkeep
  • Perform regular safety audits to inspect, coach, and lead process education that drives compliance and continuous improvement
  • Promote cost control initiatives while ensuring the production of high-quality products
  • Execute forecasts and budgets for plant inventory that support demand planning
  • Work closely with sales and aftersales leaders to formulate and implement strategies aimed at ensuring timely delivery and high-quality distribution of products
  • Utilize lean experience to eliminate waste and support engineering through the design & development of products
  • Manage and maintain accurate data across multiple operational systems
  • Generate a workforce development plan that includes site-by-site training evaluations and plans that ensure proper knowledge, skills, and abilities are in place

A Few Qualifiers

  • 10+ years related operations experience
  • Proven leader with the ability to drive positive culture & process change
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP systems
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Ability to create budgets and analyze financial documents
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
