Our client, a global equipment manufacturer, is seeking a leader with unrivaled passion to bring intense focus to sales & business strategy. This dynamic role that’s part of the senior leadership team requires an in-depth knowledge of heavy machinery and is a key driver of strategic business planning in North America. As the Director of Sales with a focus on a direct channel product line, you’ll expand the revenue stream and improve bottom-line performance through channel development, expansion to adjacent businesses, products and services, and new product development.

Function:

  • Actively work with territory sales teams to influence business decisions that expand the company footprint while ensuring alignment with company strategies and goals
  • Establish and implement an aggressive North American development strategy to produce significant revenue growth 
  • Champion the process of customer selection from initial identification to onboarding
  • Ensure business channels are properly covered to maintain and build highly satisfying relationships throughout North America
  • Optimize day-to-day business operations and investments through strong forecasting and inventory management
  • Maintain accurate records of customer contracts
  • Support the creation of territory maps and track active territories
  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external teams to ensure company sales goals are met
  • Utilize market research including analysis of regional performance to identify where improvements can be made
  • Assist in creating and implementing annual marketing plan & business review
  • Create and implement improvement strategies
  • Manage training programs and monitor effectiveness
  • Serve as the executive contact for large accounts/customers
  • Lead teams with an engaging, open, honest approach while setting standards for high performance
  • Travel up to 75%

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • 5+ years proven sales success
  • 8+ years demonstrated experience in channel consulting/management
  • Experience with heavy equipment required 
  • Ability to obtain TWIC card and eRail badge
  • Proven ability to significantly increase revenue
  • Diligent, disciplined, and highly organized
  • Senior leadership level knowledge of business financials, metrics, marketing, and sales and service operations
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office suite, experience with SAP preferred
