Our client, a respected heavy equipment dealer, is seeking a Director of Sales to lead their organization into its next phase of growth. In this role, you’ll bring vision, structure, and momentum to a talented team while driving strategic initiatives that strengthen customer relationships and expand market presence. Your leadership will set the tone for accountability, collaboration, and results across all branches.

Your Mission:

  • Lead a regional sales organization, guiding multiple locations toward aligned goals and consistent execution
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that support growth objectives and long-term profitability
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Rental, and Parts to create a seamless customer experience from first contact to final delivery
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and key partners to enhance loyalty and brand reputation
  • Oversee forecasting, reporting, and CRM performance to ensure accurate data and informed decision-making
  • Identify market trends and competitive opportunities to refine pricing, territory structure, and product focus
  • Coach and develop sales managers and representatives through ongoing mentorship and performance reviews
  • Represent the company at key industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to elevate visibility and strengthen relationships
  • Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives

A Few Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of demonstrated success leading regional or multi-location sales teams in the heavy equipment, construction, or related industries
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Strong commercial acumen in sales operations, financial performance, and inventory management
  • Proven ability to mentor and motivate high-performing teams while driving consistent results
  • Skilled in CRM systems, business analytics, and territory planning
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to travel regionally and thrive in a dynamic, results-oriented environment
