Our client, a global heavy equipment OEM, is seeking an experienced operations leader to serve as Manufacturing Programs Manager, overseeing key programs and processes that bridge manufacturing, materials management, procurement, and engineering change coordination. In this role, you’ll help shape and strengthen the systems that support both current production and new product development.
This is a strategic position for a hands-on leader who brings structure, clarity, and a continuous improvement mindset. You’ll take the lead in aligning production support functions, refining material flow, and driving collaboration across departments. Your ability to streamline processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and connect engineering with operations will play a vital role in the company’s long-term success.
Your Mission
- Oversee all parts order management, fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and warehouse storage operations
- Lead inventory management efforts focused on accuracy, availability, and cost control
- Manage production scheduling and material flow to ensure alignment with manufacturing and customer demand
- Drive procurement activities with an emphasis on cost reduction, supplier performance, and strategic sourcing
- Improve the engineering change process and ensure coordination with the New Product Development team
- Strengthen supply chain processes by integrating MRP and establishing consistent planning and fulfillment practices
- Evaluate supplier mix and identify opportunities to expand sourcing, improve quote competitiveness, and reduce reliance on distributors
- Implement structural improvements to legacy procurement practices and deliver early wins through low-hanging operational fixes
A Few Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, operations, or materials management
- Strong knowledge of procurement practices, cost reduction strategies, and supplier management
- Hands-on experience with MRP systems and their integration into daily operations
- Track record of improving inventory control, fulfillment accuracy, and warehouse performance
- Familiarity with engineering change processes and cross-functional collaboration with R&D or product development teams
- Ability to identify operational inefficiencies and implement practical, scalable solutions
- A strategic mindset with the drive to execute, prioritize, and lead through ambiguity
