Our client, a global OEM specializing in heavy equipment, is seeking a technically confident and commercially driven Sales Manager to lead growth across the Canadian mining sector. In this role, you’ll build trusted partnerships with mining companies, engineering consultants, and EPC firms to identify early-stage project opportunities and deliver tailored capital equipment solutions.
Your deep understanding of mining operations in Canada, paired with your ability to navigate complex project lifecycles, will be key to driving long-term success. You’ll collaborate closely with internal engineering and product teams while acting as a strategic advisor to clients throughout the procurement process.
Your Mission
- Develop and execute a territory strategy focused on expanding the company’s presence in Canada’s mining sector
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including mine operators, engineering firms, and project developers
- Lead technical presentations and product briefings to position equipment effectively
- Align proposal development and project timelines with client needs and procurement schedules
- Represent the company at Canadian industry events, trade shows, and technical conferences
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and pipeline progress in CRM
A Few Qualifiers
- Degree in Engineering, Mining, or Business, or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of heavy equipment sales experience
- Familiarity with relevant systems and equipment
- Strong network within Canada’s mining and engineering communities
- Clear communicator with the ability to lead technical conversations and close complex deals
- Highly self-motivated and organized with a consultative sales approach
- 75% travel throughout Canada, with occasional international trips
