A respected manufacturer of road machinery is looking for a motivating sales veteran with a passion for building & nurturing relationships to be their next National Accounts Manager focused on the rental market. In this seat, you’ll have the opportunity to be a hands-on leader by supporting national rental accounts and OEM sales teams with in-depth rental market research & solutions, business development, and relationship management. You’ll also guide internal and external sales teams while ensuring they’re hitting revenue benchmarks and exceeding customer expectations.

Your Mission:

  • Analyze and develop business plans by determining the current value, future potential, and priority of national rental accounts with reference to sales and profit, market influence, and impact
  • Actively work with territory sales teams to influence business decisions that expand the company footprint while ensuring customer needs are met with appropriate solutions
  • Assess book of business and prospect where appropriate
  • Provide overall business support to national rental accounts
  • Analyze and understand national rental accounts, market, and equipment sales opportunities
  • Provide in-depth market analysis and champion strategy improvements for national rental accounts
  • Coordinate efforts with national rental accounts to ensure strong working relationships, and facilitate the development of business plans to drive revenue
  • Work cross-functionally with sales leadership to establish and monitor KPIs for territory managers
  • Coach and support underperforming members of internal & external key account sales teams
  • Provide comprehensive data/reporting on all national rental accounts
  • Manage schedule, striving to consistently meet and exceed sales targets
  • Attend regional and national trade shows

A Few Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of proven success in equipment rental
  • Knowledge of road machinery (or similar equipment)
  • Superior relationship-building skills with internal and external customers
  • Highly driven and self-motivated attitude
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate and lead
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to travel up to 60% within the USA & Canada
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Suite and CRM software
