A global equipment manufacturer is looking for a technically minded strategist to create a product and marketing roadmap for part of their heavy equipment portfolio. In this seat, you’ll handle everything that drives product planning & marketing from collecting VOC to prototype testing and product training once the machine is launched.
Your Mission
- Deeply research and understand the North American heavy equipment market
- Fully create and outline the product strategy including target markets, business cases, value propositions, and all necessary requirement documents
- Ensure product pricing is in line with company revenue and profit goals
- Stay abreast of market patterns and changes, and forecast future opportunities
- Propose suggestions to senior leadership to add to, remove from and/or make adjustments to the current crane product line
- Leverage data, face-to-face time with dealers and customers and background expertise to make educated decisions
- Act as a project manager through the product design and development processes, working very closely with engineers and manufacturing teams
- Assist marketing personnel with the development of technical documentation and marketing content
- Train sales and product support teams as new products are approaching release dates
- Seek to continuously improve products, processes, and procedures
- Regularly report on project progress to senior leadership
- Attend industry tradeshows and frequently visit dealerships across North America
A Few Qualifiers
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or similar discipline
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Documented project management experience, with a strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects from concept through to completion
- Proven ability to build processes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex projects and deliver results
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
