Our client, a global construction OEM, is seeking a Product Manager for their road machinery team. With expertise in hydraulics, electrical systems, and engines, you’ll work cross-functionally to drive the development of innovative products and improve existing designs. Your organizational skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams will be key in collaborating with management, production, and marketing to evaluate product feasibility and market demand. This is an opportunity for you to have a direct impact on sales volume and profitability while enhancing product performance, reliability, and quality throughout the product lifecycle.

Your Mission:

  • Spearhead product development initiatives to create innovative products, refine existing designs, and improve production methods through comprehensive competitive analysis
  • Maintain a deep understanding of competitors, related industries, OEMs, and emerging technologies to make strategic decisions regarding product improvements
  • Analyze industry competitors, technology trends, and market demands to guide product development strategies and performance enhancements
  • Address challenges with innovative solutions and cutting-edge technologies or concepts
  • Coordinate with management, production, marketing, and customer service teams to determine the technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and market demand for current and future products
  • Estimate product profitability, along with material, labor, and operating costs, while engaging in the Product Development Authorization process
  • Keep management updated on developments impacting profitability, timelines, expenses, customer relationships, and inter-departmental interactions
  • Work with the marketing team to develop communication materials and coordinate new product launches
  • Actively participate in trade shows, trade associations, and product demos
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure safe practices

A Few Qualifications:

  • 2+ years relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of construction equipment and a high mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to have a positive influence while working cross-functionally with several internal and external teams
