A well-known construction equipment manufacturer is looking for a sales professional to drive revenue through the building and management of a dealer network. As a Regional Business Manager focused on the Western US, you’ll utilize your deep understanding of dealer operations to create strategic plans that enhance business strategy and aid dealer growth and profitability. You’ll also have the chance to manage a district sales force assisting with training, ride-a-longs, and local trade shows & events.
Your Mission:
- Develop and execute a prospecting & expansion plan within your region in order to meet or exceed manufacturer’s sales goals
- Work cross-functionally with dealerships to develop and implement marketing plans that drive sales and revenue
- Support individual dealers through continued development and communication of the business model and planning tools while also recognizing when to cancel a dealership
- Support individual dealers with annual marketing plans and quarterly reviews.
- Conduct in-depth research including analysis of dealers and market performance while identifying expansion opportunities and implementing dealer improvement plans
- Manage district sales team to maximize efficiency in the territory
- Ride with district managers to strengthen existing account relationships and ensure satisfaction
- Through strong communication, work cross functionally with internal teams to streamline the sales process in order to eliminate inefficiencies and grow revenue
- Create reports and forecasts that provide sales volume projections of multiple product categories
- Make recommendations to improve strategy based on territory activity, VOC, market tendencies and knowledge of the competition
- Attend tradeshows and events
A Few Qualifiers:
- 5+ years of proven outside sales experience managing a dealer channel
- Demonstrated success selling heavy equipment
- Mechanically inclined with strong interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Office Expert (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc).
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Travel up to 75%
