Our client, an established and innovation-focused construction equipment manufacturer, is seeking a hands-on Regional Sales Manager to grow equipment sales and strengthen the dealer channel across the West Coast. Success in this role requires a strong field presence, mechanical confidence, and the ability to help dealers win complex opportunities from first conversation through long-term ownership support. You will increase regional momentum by enabling partners, building customer trust, and turning market insight into consistent results.

Your Mission:

  • Translate regional goals into a practical territory plan with clear priorities and measurable outcomes
  • Build strong dealer partnerships through regular onsite support, consistent communication, and follow-through
  • Improve dealer performance by supporting prospecting efforts, customer engagement, and local sales activity
  • Guide opportunities from early discovery through closing by providing structure, responsiveness, and dealer alignment
  • Provide hands on product guidance in the field, including demos, jobsite visits, and customer walkthroughs
  • Strengthen dealer capability with training on product fit, deal support, and internal coordination needs
  • Capture market feedback and competitor activity to help sharpen messaging and regional strategy
  • Partner with internal teams to remove friction, solve issues quickly, and improve overall customer experience
  • Stay connected after delivery to support satisfaction, repeat business, and long term account growth
  • Represent the brand at industry gatherings, dealer events, and regional demos across the territory

A Few Qualifiers:

  • 5+ years of experience selling construction equipment or related heavy machinery
  • Proven ability to manage a multi-state territory and drive consistent sales performance
  • Dealer channel experience strongly preferred, with confidence-building partner accountability
  • Comfortable in technical conversations and willing to be hands-on in the field
  • Strong communicator with solid negotiation skills and professional presentation ability
    Able to travel frequently across the region, up to 70 percent
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver’s license and authorized to work in the United States
