Our client, a well-established equipment dealer in California, is looking for its next Sales Specialist. In this position, you’ll be able to put your passion for heavy equipment to work focusing on construction machinery sales. You’ll take pride in customer service by providing practical solutions to existing customers while also building new business relationships. Your market and product knowledge will be flexed as you work cross-functionally to build business plans that provide customer solutions and increase revenue.
Your Mission
- Develop strategic short & long-term growth plans within the territory for current and new accounts
- Deeply research and understand your region’s equipment market to help develop strategies that increase revenue and market share
- Create and coordinate logistical details of sales presentations, proposals, bids, and contracts
- Champion company customer support efforts including scheduling demos, training and new customer setup
- As a product expert and sales leader, relay vital product information to customers and perform onsite demos
- Utilize market knowledge and client data to strategically forecast customer demand while managing order fulfillment to ensure proper inventory
- Maintain accurate book of business to include contacts, notes and sales data
- Maintain an accurate customer database that drives successful business planning
- Conduct proper follow-ups on sales activities (quotes, orders, deliveries, and returns)
- Attend trade shows and training events
A Few Qualifiers
- 3+ years relevant experience
- Proven high level of expertise with heavy equipment
- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
