Our client, a well-established heavy equipment dealership, is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee accounting operations while also supporting the sales team. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to go beyond traditional accounting duties by engaging with sales processes, including pricing, commissions, and contract reviews. It’s an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a dynamic environment, working closely with multiple departments to drive both financial accuracy and sales success.
Your Mission:
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and financial reviews
- Assist with year-end audits, tax preparation, and compliance with sales tax and other tax requirements
- Collaborate with the sales team to prepare quotes, calculate commissions, and ensure accurate costing of machines within the accounting system
- Support Vice President of Sales by reviewing contracts and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Help facilitate DMV registrations and maintain a smooth sales process flow
A Few Qualifications:
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger functions
- Proficient in Excel, with advanced skills in VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- BS degree in Accounting preferred
